Topaz is a male Vervet monkey.  He was one of three monkeys dropped off at the sanctuary with no information.  His name and date of birth were assigned to him by sanctuary staff.  He is a high energy monkey.  He loves to run through his enclosure and engage in a game of chase with his care-givers.  

Topaz is very alert and loves to watch everything around him.  He loves to forage for food within his enclosure and is extremely quick.  He is also very gentle, loves attention, and enjoys his caregivers.  

Topaz enjoys nuts and seeds but he does not like chic peas! His favorite food is red peppers.

Topaz knows his name. Be sure to call out to him. He will come running to say hi.
