Phillip Logan Dodd

DOB: October 13, 2001

Phillip Logan Dodd is a crab-eating macaque. He came to SPS from a family who lived in Tennessee. Phillip enjoys playing chase, painting and grooming his caregivers. He is a silly guy with a lot of personality. 

Phillip can be a picky eater, tossing the foods he doesn’t want out of his food tray. His favorite foods are warm potatoes on a cold day or berries. Phillip was recently moved next to Nova, we are hoping they will become friends! They have been grooming each other through the enclosure mesh which is a great sign of a budding friendship. 

“One fall I gave Phillip his blanket for the night and he proceeded to put it over himself like a ghost and start to walk towards me at the edge of his enclosure. Once he got to me he stayed under the blanket and stuck his hands out of the enclosure to play. All while making his cute little honking noises. He is a character,” said one of his caregivers..
