Mr. Big

Mr. Big (aka Sandman) is a Sulcata Tortoise. Sulcata tortoises are land animals. (Turtles prefer water.)

Mr. Big's current age is unknown. He has been at the Sanctuary prior to 2018. 

He loves romaine lettuce, red peppers, red tomatoes, hay, banana leaves, and grazing on grass.  

He enjoys a misting bath and rain showers.

Mr. Big also LOVES to forage for hibiscus flowers.

Unless it rains in the morning, Mr. Big normally sleeps in. 

He, therefore, tends to make his appearance in the early afternoon.

What a beautiful life he lives. :)

Mr. Big is very friendly and loves walking around the big viewing field when visitors are not on campus.

He can always be lured back to his enclosure with a bright red ball, red flower, or tomato.
