Lucy is a special girl born here in July of 2000 to the parents of Magillan and Mary.

An incredibly smart chimp, Lucy is hard on our new caregivers. She requires time, patience, and a loving heart. Once you get to know Lucy, you will see she's an amazing chimpanzee in so many ways. She's sensitive and so loving. 

Lucy lives with her older sister, Shawn. They are always playing and grooming each other. Lucy’s favorite food is... everything! She is a skinny chimp, but she can eat! Lucy especially loves any type of berry or grapes. 

When caretakers are cleaning her enclosure, we can count on an extra 20 minutes because Lucy and Shawn will drink out of the hose for a very, very long time.
