Alfie

Alfie is an Olive Baboon and a very handsome boy.  Alfie came to the sanctuary in 2019 after his owners could no longer care for him. Alfie energetically plays and enjoys holding his special toys. He also has a very silly side, he will take blankets and spin around with them. It will make you laugh to watch him play with his blankets. 

When he sees his favorite caregivers, he makes special happy grunt sounds and asks them to scratch his back by pushing his back up against his enclosure. 

Alfie loves to eat! Some of his favorite foods are warm sweet potatoes, grapes, greens, and watermelon. When he's not eating or playing, you will find Alfie in some funny positions hanging out in his hammock, or resting his front lip on his enclosure so you can see his front teeth. He is a big goofball who makes us laugh and we love him!
